Mental Game Development

Students of the Total Concept Golf Academy participate regularly in mental game development sessions to help them avoid distraction, focus on the task at hand, and remain comitted to each and every golf shot.Dr. Bob Rotella, famous sports psychologist and consultant to professional golfers, said it best: “Golf is a Game of Confidence”.  Golfers of all abilities suffer periods of doubt that can lead to bad shots, bad rounds, and bad tournaments.  A key to golf success is to minimize the frequency of these bouts of insecurity by learning techniques that will establish a pattern of consistently solid golf shots.

Students of the Total Concept Golf Academy regularly participate in mental game development sessions designed to teach them how to:

• Reduce or eliminate periods of self-doubt
• Replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts when preparing to hit a shot
• Better-visualize their target in order to produce a stroke that is both rhythmic and flowing
• Remain “in the present” to avoid losing concentration and focus

Playing great golf takes more than building a great golf swing.  It requires the ability to avoid distraction, focus on the task at hand, and remain committed to each and every golf shot.

If you think that your son or daughter isn’t playing up to their potential, this might be the time for instruction on the mental side of the game.

The Total Concept Golf Academy will help bring out your child's best golf and teach them how to avoid costly mental mistakes that can ruin a good round.
